Alberto Campos Zatarain was born in Mexico. He
received a BSc in electronics engineering in 2000
from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California,
Mexico. Then, in 2004 received a MSc in
Optoelectronics from the CICESE research centre,
Mexico with a thesis entitled “Design and
construction of a continuous Nd:YVO4 laser pumped
longitudinally by a diode laser”. Alberto has also
worked as a Test Engineer at Qualcomm, Inc. and as
an Electronics Engineer for SONY Corp. México.
Currently he is working towards a PhD at Heriot-Watt
University on CO2 laser processing of
microstructures in low-temperature co-fired
ceramics.
