Krystian Wlodarczyk graduated with an MSc in
electronics and telecommunications at the Wroclaw
University of Technology, Poland, in 2006. Then, he
joined the Lasers and Photonics Applications group
at Heriot-Watt University as a PhD student.
Krystian’s research studies involve CO2 laser
smoothing of glass materials and investigating new
applications for this process. Currently, he is
working on the fabrication of sub-millimetre-wide
resonator mirrors for planar waveguide lasers by
localized vaporization of a glass.
